LESSONS & COACHINGS

"The saddest thing in life is wasted talent. Promise me you won't waste yours."

- Lorenzo (A Bronx Tale)

One of my personal joys is watching my students grow to love their natural talents as much as I do. As a teacher, I use technical lessons as a means to artistic expression. A primary tool I instill in my students is the importance of listening, both as a mental practice technique and an exploration of new genres and styles.  My students will be prepared to be active participants in the thriving and exciting modern artistic world. No matter your specialty or focus, we are all students of the arts, therefore, we should be constantly striving to improve our technical, musical, and functional skills.

Below are the areas in which I am qualified to teach in varying levels from beginner to advanced:

"I love my lessons with Benjamin. He is always respectful, encouraging, and motivating. He quickly identifies my problems, offers solutions to my technical difficulties, and offers great tips on how to practice to overcome my limitations. His advice on interpretation is inspiring. I feel I that I am progressing very much with him!"

- Lylli, cello student
